Robert Leroy Kindler

Robert Leroy "Bob" Kindler, Jr., 64, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018. He was born July 22, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert and Doris (Saunders) Kindler, Sr. He was a 1972 graduate of West H.S. and retired with over 25 years of service to Grange Insurance. His family and faith were very important to him. He was a longtime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was the Sunday School Superintendent for several years. He loved helping with the children's ministries. Bob also enjoyed fishing and playing music with his dulcimer. In his younger days, he was active in Community Theater. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Kindler. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Kathleen; daughter, Kristina (Ben) Rawson; cherished granddaughter, Charlotte Rawson; siblings, David (Melissa) Kindler, Richard Kindler, and Kathy Elsner; and many special relatives and friends. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, with visitation 1 hour prior, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St., Grove City, Ohio. Pastor Patti Morlock officiating.
