

Robert Keith Kissler, 80, of Columbus, died peacefully Friday, November 25, 2011 at home. He fought a long and courageous battle with cancer with dignity and grace. He will be dearly missed. He was born June 17, 1931 in Charleroi, PA to the late Albert and Pauline (Thompson) Kissler. He was a graduate of Morgantown High School, Morgantown, WV and West Virginia University. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict, a member of Central College Presbyterian Church where he was very active, enjoyed woodworking, golf, biking and hiking. He was a fan of the Mountaineers, Buckeyes and Steelers and traveled to such places as Hawaii and Alaska. He retired from the US Department of Agriculture and held positions as Officer with the Metro Parks and instructor for the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a strong Christian man. He is survived by his wife Kelly, two children Jennifer Kissler, Robert (Ann-Michel) Kissler, two step children Amanda and Meghan Bryant, seven grandchildren Shayla and Jordan Noschese, Kylie, Haley, Davis, Macy and Sadie Kissler. Family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:30 AM.
