Robert F. Simons

Robert F. Simons, age 85, of Columbus, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023. He was born June 14, 1938 in Wellston, Ohio, to the late Francis T. and Jennie Mae (Rogers) Simons. Also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Doris (Norton) Simons; two grandsons and Tony’s soulmate, Debbie Timms. Robert is survived by his son, Tony Simons, of Lancaster, OH; daughter, Marie Simons (Phil) Buckingham, of Crown Point, IN; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was a 1956 graduate of Wellston High School and received his Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in 1963. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the Chapel of Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43213, where family will receive friends after 9:30 am Tuesday. Private entombment to follow. No Flowers Please.
