

Robert C. Talbot, age 90 of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Robert was born in Niagara Falls, New York and grew up in England, only child of the late Herbert Talbot and Doris Lock. As a young man, Robert served in the Royal Navy before graduating from Erie College. He retired from Ashland Chemical in 1992 where he worked as a chemical engineer. Robert was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 4th degree, and a life member of the National Association of Chemical Engineers. He had an English green thumb and enjoyed gardening, traveling, and golfing. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Joan Talbot; children, Robert Talbot and Barbara (Robert) Bozinski; step-sons, Gregg (Donna) Kantak, Guy (Linda) Kantak, and Glenn Kantak; grandchildren, Elizabeth Kantak, Bob Talbot, Michael Talbot and Alison Bozinski; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Rose Talbot; and other extended family members and dear friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6899 Smokey Row Rd., where family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until time of service. Father Mark F. Summers, Celebrant. Interment will be held at Niagara Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, New York at a later date. Robert’s family would like to thank the staff at The Forum at Knightsbridge for the always wonderful care they gave to Robert throughout his six years there.
