Robert W. Watkins

Robert W. Watkins, age 82, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 5, 2013 at Whetstone Gardens and Care Center. He was born September 16, 1930 in Columbus, to the late Kenneth L. and Frances H. (Dykes) Watkins. Bob was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Clintonville. He was mechanically inclined, and following his graduation from Columbus North High School, he worked as an electronics repairman. He also enjoyed playing the organ and piano. Bob is survived by his caring sister, Grace May Watkins; Aunt Robyn Semenchuk; cousins, David Dykes, Ruth Ellen (Martin) Cunningham, Mary Ann Dykes and Martha Lou (Bill) Harper as well as many friends in the faith. Family will receive friends 2-5pm Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229 where services will be held at 10am Monday, July 8, 2013; Mr. Kent Heisley, officiating; interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
