

Roberta Emrich died peacefully while surrounded with family, May 17th at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor. She is survived by husband Ralph and her 8 children, 26 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Roberta and Ralph celebrated their 68th anniversary May 14, 2010. Roberta was born July 8, 1924 in Duck Run, Ohio, home of her 13 brothers and sisters and family friend Roy Rogers. Roberta is preceded in death by her parents, Clel and Ethel Hiles. Roberta was independent, strong willed and beautiful. She also was involved in coaching softball at St. Philip the Apostle. She will be fondly remembered by all that have come to know her. The family of Ralph and Roberta are very thankful to the staff of Mother Angeline McCrory’s for their kindness and excellent care. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) in Grove City. Roberta’s surviving children, all R’s are, Ronald (Joyce) Emrich, Ruthann Fugitt (Gary), Rita (Solon) Helm, Randy (Beth) Emrich, Rhonda (Ron) Danks, Regina (Dean) Zaglanis, Renee (Greg) Barger, Rochelle (John) Hegedus. The Emrich family will receive friends on Thursday May 20th, from 8:00am until time of Mass at 10:00am at Mother Angeline McCrory’s Chapel, 5199 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. 43213. Internment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery following Mass. All are welcome for a luncheon and celebration of Roberta’s wonderful life at 1:00 pm at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor.
