Roger A. Edwards

Roger A. Edwards, 71, of Spring Hill, FL, formerly of Westerville passed away on October 16, 2015. He was born on August 29, 1944 in Dover, OH to the late John and Naomi (Hurst) Edwards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Steve Edwards. Roger was involved with Scouting from an early age and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He was also a member of the National Guard before he began a 21 year career with J.C. Penney. He then worked for Columbus Wood Products. Roger was a member of the Church of Messiah in Westerville. Ever the social butterfly, he was the life of the party and enjoyed displaying his talents on the stage with Karla in Florida. "Mr. Fix It" was a wonderful family man who will be greatly missed by his wife of 48 years Karla (Steiner) Edwards; children Scott (Fiancé Suzanne Morse) Edwards, Mindy (Brett) Wines, Alicia (Steve) Peruscini and Laura (Fiancé Matt Temple) Edwards; four grandchildren Lyndsey Simonds, Madison Wines and Luciana and Beckett Peruscini; brothers John (Sharon) Edwards and Jim (Marianne) Edwards; and special cousin, "little sis" Sue Hummel. A celebration of life party will be held at a later date at his favorite getaway, Atwood Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Franz Road, Dublin, OH 43017.
