Roger L. Runyon

Roger was born on October 31, 1954 in Etna, Ohio to the late John and Annie Runyon.

Roger grew up in Kirkersville, Ohio and graduated from Watkins Memorial High School. For most of his working career he was an auto mechanic, but retired from the State of Ohio department of student loan collections.

Roger was an avid outdoorsman, and his home away from home was the Deathwinds Long Rifle Muzzle Loading Club. He enjoyed attending the annual Harvest Moon Rendezvous in Licking County, and spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Runyon; children, Traci (Bill) Kuhaneck of Georgia, Michelle (Dan) Shanks of Blacklick, Tricia Ramsey of Newark, and Paula Hagerman of Newark; grandchildren, Kelli, Hayli, BillieJean, Alec, Brianne, Patience, Serenity, Gracie, Donavin, Robbie, Steven, and Joshua; sister Mary Saunders; brothers, Richard (Brenda) Runyon, and Harold Runyon. He is also survived by his dog, Babygirl.

Along with his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Savage.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville St., Newark, Ohio.
