Rojer Earl Bowers

Rojer Earl Bowers, 94, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at home. He was born December 21, 1923 in Circleville, Ohio to the late George Earl and Susan (Wean) Bowers. Rojer was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and The Pickaway County Democratic Party. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. Other memberships included Eastern Star and Knights of Pythias. Rojer was also a member of Pickaway Lodge #23 F and A.M. for 60 years and held memberships with Circleville #20 Chapter Royal Arch Masons, Tyrian Council #60 Royal and Select Masons and Lancaster Commandery #2 Knights Templar. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Marilyn (Winter) Bowers; son, Gary Jacob Bowers; brother, George E. Bowers, Jr.; brother-in-law, William Winter; and daughter-in-law Tammy (Davis) Bowers. He is survived by his children, Charles Rojer Bowers, Timothy Lee (Marilyn) Bowers, Brent Fischer Bowers, and Rojanne (Christopher) Woodward; 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gerald (Delores) Bowers and Harold Bowers; sisters-in-law, Sue Winter and Dorothy Bowers and his special friend Bob Hoover. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 2-6 PM with a 6:00 PM Masonic Service at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home 151 E. Main St., Circleville. Rojer's funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 30, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Gerhard Kraus officiating. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church for the family of Mark Sandy and Hospice of Pickaway County.
