Romanus “Romey” Hannum, age 68 passed away at Mount Carmel East on Monday, May 16, 2011. He was born in Baltimore, MD on July 6, 1942 to the late Bernard and Mary Hannum. Romey had many interests in life, but he found his true joy in spending time with his family. He was a very strong and loving family man who instilled a strong work ethic and good family values in his children. His family will truly miss his love, devotion and companionship. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Janet; children, Romanus, Jr., Genevieve, Dusty (Dana), Melody (Jason) Streeter and Edward; grandchildren, Avery, Alyssa and Braylen; siblings, Ben, Randolph, Tom (Martha), Patsy, Winnie (Sue), Leonard (Evelyn) and Darlene Evans; several nieces and nephews; in laws, Robert and Helen Weihenmayer; caregiver, Angela; and his dog, Killer. Friends may call for a time of celebration from 6-8 pm, Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL 5360 E. Livingston Ave.
