Ronald James Conlon

Ronald J. Conlon, age 81, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at St. Ann's Hospital. Ron was born on September 5, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert L. and Margaret E. (Batch) Conlon. He was a graduate of Thomas Aquinas High School and a U.S. Navy Veteran (1961-1963). Ron worked for Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service for over 24 years before becoming a travel agent. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Janis E. (Powell) Conlon; daughter, Cheryl Colley; sons-in-law, Brian Hollis and Brandon Smith; and brother-in-law, Joseph Callahan. He is survived by children, Sheila Hollis, Sharon (Christopher) Hollis, Christopher Conlon, Tricia Smith, Gregory (Felisha Goldsmith) Conlon, and Gretchen (Jesse) Hughes; numerous grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Callahan; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call 11am- 1pm Monday, April 26, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will follow at 1:00pm. Interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
