Ronald Patrick Jackson

Ron was born in 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio, to Earl and Mildred Jackson. He graduated from Brunnerdale Seminary in Canton, Ohio in 1971. Shortly after high school he met his wife, Janet, whom he married in 1975 at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, Ohio.

They moved to Columbus in 2008, where Ron took a job as a Sales Manager with Schwebels Bakery. He took enormous pride in working hard, refusing to let cancer stop him from going to work every day. The Jackson family would like to thank all of Ron's friends and co-workers at Schwebels who stood by Ron, accommodated him while he struggled with his health, and provided rides back and forth to the office - your faith and support meant the world to him and his family.

Outside of work Ron lived for his family. He spent countless hours cheering on his grandchildren Blake and Ava at plays, school and sporting events and then bragging about their achievements to anyone who would listen. His youngest granddaughter, Elena, brought him so much joy in the past year and a half.

Ron is survived by his wife Janet; three sons, Jeremy (Dawn), Matt (Michael) and Tim (Chris); three grandchildren Ava, Blake and Elena; and sisters Mary Ellen, Rosella, Maria Elena and Marla. In lieu of gifts, the Jackson family requests that you submit donations to Nationwide Children's Cancer Research at https://www.nationwidechildrens.org/giving in honor of Ron. Memorial services will be held at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH at 2pm on Friday, September 21, 2018 with one hour of visitation prior.
