Rose Eleanor Ulrich

A funeral service for Rose Eleanor Ulrich, 85 of Newark, will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Christian Apostolic Church, 22 N. 23rd Street, Newark, with Pastor Keith Sjostrand officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Rose was born in Newark, Ohio on June 12, 1926 to the late Charles Carl and Gisella (Fleishman) Ulrich. She passed away on July 5, 2011 at Flint Ridge Nursing Home.

Prior to retirement, Rose worked for Western Products, Moore Warehouse and Brown Produce Company. She was a member of Christian Apostolic Church, where she sang and played the guitar. She enjoyed fishing, never met a stranger, loved and helped everyone she met. She also enjoyed traveling in her automobile with her late friend, Nikki Klein, and was known by her family and friends as “Ramblin Rose.”

Survivors include her siblings, Charles H. (Ursula) Ulrich, Elsie Ulrich and Margaret Petty; nieces and nephews, Terry Petty, Charles (Becky) Petty, James (Chris) Petty, Julie (Jeff) Vandine, Pat Hall and Chris (Rob) Newell; and other cousins and friends.

Family and friends may call at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 PM.
