

Rosemary Christine McDonald, age 93, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010. She was born in Sandusky, Ohio, on August 19, 1916, and grew up in the Columbus area. Rosie used to love to walk to the old Redbirds Stadium to watch baseball games. Her passion for the game continued throughout her entire life, and she loved the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds. She enjoyed watching other sports as well, including NASCAR. Rosie also loved her flower gardens, and in years past she liked crochet and embroidery. She was a dedicated member of Grace of God Lutheran Church, and she spent many years teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, and participating in the Altar Guild and women’s group. She was also a member of the Grove City Senior Citizens, and she was a volunteer for the Board of Elections. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ernest McDonald, and her son, John Wayne McDonald. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ross; siblings, Helen, Audrey, and Phillip; grandchildren, Scott Leroy (Christine) Fausey, Dale Eugene (Roberta) Fausey, and Donald Charles (Linda) Fausey; great grandchildren, Tina Marie, Michael Wayne, Jonathan William, and David Lee; great-great grandson, Damian Alexander; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010, at SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Diemer officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
