Roy David "Dave" Hamilton, 68, of Stoutsville, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Mount Carmel Medical Center, Columbus. He was born August 10, 1949 in Circleville, the son of Roy and Helen Pauline (Phillips) Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary.
Dave was a 1968 graduate of Logan Elm High School and went to work for Lowe's. He was owner/operator of the County Line Carryout (which later became Buckeye Station) at Route 22 East and Route 674. He enjoyed discussing agricultural practices with fellow farmers, trading ideas and learning about the changes in farm equipment and the huge increase in prices that came with it. A pleasant, easy-going guy, Dave liked talking with folks at the store, football and OSU basketball. Some of his favorite foods were spaghetti, popcorn and butter pecan ice cream. He enjoyed listening to old country, Emmylou Harris, Tanya Tucker and Linda Ronstadt. Dave's favorite thing in life was being an uncle.
Left to mourn his passing are sisters, Shirley Craycraft and Debbie Smith; brother, Brent (Lisa) Hamilton; #1 nephews, Scott and Don Craycraft, Duane Hamilton, Brian Smith and Justin and Jacob Hamilton; special friends, Shane and Elisha Stack; and many, many good friends and neighbors.
