Roy Gene Hollingshead

Roy Gene Hollingshead, age 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Grant Medical Center. Roy was born on October 23, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Clarence and Ella Mae (Spruce) Hollingshead. Roy graduated from Central High School. He entered the US Army and proudly served his country during Vietnam War. Roy retired from the City of Columbus where he worked as a Diesel Mechanic on the City Fire Trucks. In his leisure time Roy enjoyed hunting and fishing. Preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Suzette Talbot. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Hollingshead; children, Billie (Mary) Sexton, Bruce (Rhonda) Sexton, Della (Ben) Sullivan and Homer (Jerri) Sexton; daughter-in-law, Angie Sexton; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Judy, Wanda, Harry "Ted", Cindy and Jerry; along with many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 4-7:00 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio.
