Ruby B. Mobley

Ruby B. Mobley, age 94, of Columbus passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at HCR Manorcare Nursing Home. Ruby was born in Grahn, KY on January 12, 1917; she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Bailey. Ruby was also preceded in death by beloved husband of 52 years, John Mobley; brother, Austin Bailey; and sisters, Goldie Bailey and Judy Bright. She is survived by her loving children, William (Louanne) Mobley, Lillian (Earl) Rash, Robert (Judy) Mobley and George Mobley; 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and sister, Velma Woods. Ruby was a graduate of Olive Hill High School in Kentucky. She retired after 22 years of dedicated service from North American Aviation. Ruby had been a lifetime member of the Southern Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed quilting. She will be remembered by her family for her good cooking and great spirit. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 6-8pm at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230; where funeral services will be on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11am, Pastor Mark Payton officiating. Interment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.
