Ruth A. Binkley

Ruth was born in Canton on April 5, 1937 to the late Ned and Carrie (Roshon) Bowie and was a longtime resident of Gahanna. Her passion was caring for horses and dogs at Timber Creek Horse Boarding and Dog Kennel, which she owned for over 25 years. She was particularly fond of Doberman Pinchers and Saddlebred horses. Her love extended to her African Grey parrot, Herbie, and her dogs Puff, Lacey, and Freddie, who will miss her love and care. She lived for 9 years in Zephyrhills, FL with her husband of 54 years, Richard A. Binkley, who preceded her in death in 2007.

She is survived by her children Tanya (fiancé Scott Richardson) Ingle, Gina (fiancé Jerry Tolson) Shiplett, Kerri Sue (John) Colgan and Rick (Mindy) Binkley; many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Tina Marie Binkley and son Rocky Binkley.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10AM at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Father Ted Sill will officiate. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pataskala.
