Sandra Jean Richards

Sandra Jean (White) Richards, age 68, of Mount Vernon, Ohio passed away Monday, January 27, 2014. Member of the Seventh-day Adventist Mt. Vernon Hill Church and former member of Eastwood Seventh-day Adventist Church. Preceded in death by beloved son, Charles D. "Chuckie" Richards, Jr., husband, Charles D. Richards, and her parents, Icyle Feltman and Ralph White. Survived by daughter, Barbara Jean (Dr. Frederick) Carroll and step-daughter, Kim R. (Robert) Cody; granddaughter, Deidre Cody; grandson, James (Kelsey) Thompson; great-granddaughter, Amelia Jean Thompson; sister, Jayne (Dr. James) Todd; brother, Alan (Marina) White; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Richards, Patricia Whitehead, and Rosemary Richards; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Sandra will be fondly remembered for her good cooking and beautiful piano playing. Funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, Ohio, where family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 pm prior to the service. Pastor Fred Shoemaker officiating. Private family interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
