Sara Jane Rowland

Sara Jane Rowland, PhD, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Sara Jane was born in Albany, New York, daughter of the late James Harriman and Madeline Patricia (O'Keefe) Rowland; also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Rowland. Sara Jane proudly graduated from The Ohio State University where she remains a fan and supporter of Women's Basketball. She retired as a Psychologist from the State of Ohio in the juvenile department. Throughout Sara's life, she has always been passionate about animals, wildlife, and conservation and has dedicated much of her time as a Docent with the Columbus Zoo. She greatly enjoyed working with the animals as well as the entire zoo atmosphere. She will be greatly missed by her sister, Holly Rowland Johnson; brother, Wade Rowland; and other extended family members and dear friends. No formal funeral services will be held.
