Sarah Ann Day

Sarah Ann Day, affectionately known as “Annie Ann”, of Columbus, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2012 at the age of 56. She was born June 28, 1956 to the late Keith and Sarah Zirkle; also preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Smith. Ann worked in claims services for the State of Ohio. She enjoyed being outdoors and hiking and loved every moment that she could spend with her family… a family that extended beyond her relatives to friends who always knew they were welcome in Annie Ann’s home. She was a loving mother to Sarajean Day, Bettyjean (Robert, Jr.) Jones, David Franklin Day II (April Schaible), Dawn Day and Misty Day. She was so very proud of her grandchildren: Thomas Lee Blankenship, Stetson Day, Maria Jones, Laurie McCourt, Donald Miller, Makayln Day, David Franklin Day III, Angelina Gibson, Todd Jones, Coty Day and Elizabeth Jones; also survived by her sisters, Betty Mahon, Linda Bender and Pearl Miller; brother, Keith Zirkle; Aunt, Nancy Pfalzer “Aunt Nanny” and family; close friends Vicki and Jack Whitmer and family; Robert (Pat) Jones Sr. and Todd Jones Sr.; special nieces, nephews, other extended family and good friends. A casual gathering in her honor will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 3-8pm at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
