Scott Alan Smith

Scott A. Smith, age 33, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017. Scott was born on November 1, 1983 in Canton, Ohio to Craig and Carol (Clift) Smith. Scott was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School and attended The Ohio State University. He was employed at Fresh Market for 11+ years. Scott was a kind soul who had a good heart and good sense of humor. He was a lover of nature, wildlife and the great outdoors. He enjoyed camping and trips to the Smokies. Scott will be greatly missed by his mother, Carol Smith; sister, Judy Flynn (Michael) Gordon; aunts and uncles, Patty and Kevin Showe, Roberta and Richard Clift, Ruth Ann, and Carole Butler; and beloved cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Craig Smith; maternal grandparents, Dorothy and T.L. Clift; paternal grandparents, Jean and Wilfred Smith; uncles, Scott Smith and John Butler. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road, Columbus, Ohio 43220, with Msgr. Stephan J. Moloney.
