

Sharon Jo Keene-Smith, age 68, passed away August 3, 2014 after battling cancer for over 2 years. She was born May 4, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Joseph and Verna Gall. She graduated from Linden McKinley H.S. in 1964 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Engineering degree from Franklin University. She retired from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield after 33 years. She was a member of Maize Manor United Methodist Church and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; U. S. Daughters of 1812; Colonial Dames of the 17th Century; and other genealogical societies. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Daniel Keene and Brian Smith. Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Ned Hartsough; son, Ryan (Melissa Tauro) Smith; grandchildren, Alexis, Ashley, Brittany, Anthony, Daniel, Dakota, Derek, and Andrew; step grandchildren, Jeremie and Nicholas; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Charlene (Steve) Tancos; aunt, Katherine Beatty; nephew, Joseph (Tonya) Tancos; beloved/friendliest pit bull, Haze; and many other relatives and dear friends. Family meant the world to Sharon and she will be deeply missed. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., where funeral service will be held 10 AM Thursday. Interment Kingwood Memorial Park.
