Shirley Schick, age 71 of Reynoldsburg, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010. Shirley was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, only child of the late John and Betty Santo. She graduated from South High School, where she was a cheerleader, Class of 1956. Formerly employed by Batelle Memorial Institute. Shirley currently was working as an Executive Assistant to the CEO and President of the Columbus Airport Authority, a job which she was very passionate about and loved tremendously. Highly organized in both work and home, Shirley loved to wander through the aisles of the grocery store reading labels. Many people used the saying “Schick It!” which just merely meant to do things Shirley’s way; precise, exact, and always correct. Shirley enjoyed dancing, music, and took time out of every day to celebrate the joy of marriage she shared with her loving husband, Gail. Preceded in death by her parents, and son, Patrick Schick. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gail Schick; daughters, Amy Simmons, Kim (Albert) Knueven, and Kelly (Al) Coker; grandchildren, Leah (Brian) Griffin, Jason Coker, Liz (Brian) Daron, Dana (Lon) Carper, and Sarah Knueven; great grandchildren, Ayden Carper and Wendell Daron; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 4-8 P.M. Thursday, January 14, 2010, at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E.
