Preceded in death by the love of her life, Paul. Shirley is survived by her children, Sharee (Gary) King, Lisa Wollenberg, Kathy (Terry) Egan, Kim (Mike) Baehr, and Keith (Dave) Wollenberg. Grandma Shirley will be so missed by grandchildren, Ashley (Dan), Zach (Kacey), Alexis, Bo, Erin (dec), Shannon, Dustin (dec), Matt (Lisa), Courtney, and Jimmy, as well as great-grandchildren, Mia, Josh, Max, Olivia, Luella, Sophia, Jameson, and Veronica.
Shirley, the only child of Mary Jane (Kelly) and George Mulholland, was born on January 5, 1936 in Somerset, Ohio. She attended Holy Trinity in Somerset where she was head cheerleader and President of her class. As a long-time parishioner at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Shirley will be missed by many, as well as those friends and neighbors from Rocky Den Road. Wife, mother, best friend, seamstress, chef, chauffeur, softball, tennis, and Buckeye fan, Shirley wore many hats in her lifetime. She loved to read, watch movies, and attend The Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village, where she volunteered. Shirley liked to travel, play the slots, go to Broadway shows, and work in her flower garden, but mostly, she just loved being the best mom ever.
Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens will follow a private family memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Shirley’s name to The Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation, FDR Station, P.O. Box 220, New York, New York 10150; 1-800-ALZINFO; www.alzinfo.org
