Stanley Van Buren

Stanley was born August 23, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Dr. Harlow and Clara (Krueger) Van Buren. A Graduate of Carey High School, he served in the United States Army and the United States Air Force and was in the Korean War. Stan was an Ohio Wesleyan graduate and earned his law degree at Ohio Northern University and was a member Beta Theta Pi. Before retiring from a career as an attorney, Stan was a former FBI agent and the Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio.

Stan is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janet (Lindamood) Van Buren and their children Tonya (Dave) Monnot and Stuart (Suzie) Van Buren; grandchildren Maddie, David, Sarah and Jenna; brother Ron (Glenda) Van Buren; brother-in-law Donald Schrom; uncle Walter Krueger, several nieces and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister Virginia Schrom.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 PM Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON, 6699 N. High St., where a funeral service will be held at 2PM with Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating.
