Steve or "Sutty" was a lifelong resident of Upper Arlington, Class of 1944. He was a great athlete and loved competition. After serving in the Navy in the South Pacific in WWII, he played basketball at Miami University where he graduated in 1950. He especially loved playing golf at Scioto Country Club and in Naples, Florida in the winter. He had a very long and successful career in sales but will be lovingly remembered most for his outgoing personality. He was always original and fun loving and he never knew a stranger. Everyone who knew him will miss his smile and his endless repertoire of jokes. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Justis and Millia Sutton, and his brother, Bill Sutton. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy Sutton, and their two daughters; Tina Sutton Hundley (and husband, David); and Sandy Sutton DeCrane (and husband, Michael); five grandchildren, who idolized their Pops, and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Connie Sutton Blakkolb (and husband, Bill). A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, April 8th from 4:00-6:00 at the Chelsea at First Community, 1800 Riverside Drive. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Community Village Foundation Sustaining Fund, 1800 Riverside Dr., Columbus, OH 43212.
