

Steve Cochran, age 56, of Columbus, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed cheering on the Buckeyes, fishing, listening to music, and entertaining family and friends with his excellent voice. Steve’s allegiance was to Rumpke Recycling as an Operations Manager. A special thank you is extended on behalf of his family for their continued care and support. Blessed with a brilliant mind, he often shared knowledgeable facts which evolved from his interest in reading books. Steve will be remembered for his wisdom, protection, humor and dependability. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Cochran; brother, Tommy Cochran; brother-in-law Cliff Lafferty; paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Delores Cochran; children, Jessica Puckett and Stephanie (Bill) Shockey; siblings, Cathy (Phil) Manson, Karen Lafferty, Mitchell Cochran, Johnny Cochran, Becky (Chris) Justice; grandchildren, Austin Hysell, Zachary Moretti, Morgan Hobday, Halle Shockey, Alex Puckett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Friends may call from 2pm-5pm on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City where the funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, August 20, 2012. Pastor Phil Manson, Pastor Chris Justice, and Pastor Mark Fuller officiating. Interment at Concord Cemetery.
