Steven L. Brown

Steven L. Brown, age 64, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Sunday July 25, 2022 after battling pancreatic cancer. Steven is survived by his loving daughter, Christin (William) Werner; grandchildren Griffin, Lacey and Charles; sister Cheri Kulp and brother David “Duke” (Michelle) Brown. Steven is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Brown; father Robert Brown; granddaughter Gracie Werner and his beloved dog Eddie. Steven was affectionately referred to as “Bubba” to all his friends and family. He worked for Allied Minerals for 30+ years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to golf. Most importantly, Steve was a wonderful father and always looked forward to his weekends with his daughter as she was growing up. His daughter was always referred to by him as “his one and only”. Bubba remained good friends with his exwife Cathy Keller and her husband Fred and they would celebrate holidays as one large family. As his grandchildren got older, he loved watching his oldest grandchild play baseball and his younger grandson play hockey. When at the baseball field you would always see Bubba wearing a hat with the logo of his grandson’s team, Olentangy Stix. When Bubba was at the hockey rink he would sit in the stands and regale us with stories of when he was younger and played hockey as child. Bubba also loved to watch his granddaughter play soccer and flag football where he would tell everyone that she was “tough as nails”. Bubba was a loving and caring father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will held at the Heart & Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger at 3030 W Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204 on Friday July 29, 2022 from 3PM to 6PM. Bubba will be laid to rest at the convenience of the family.
