Steve, known as David to his family, lived in Columbus most of his life, and graduated from Centennial High School in 1985 then attended Bowling Green University where his focus was Business Administration.
Ask anyone who remembers Steve and they will tell you he was an infectious personality. A student leader, an advocate, a tireless volunteer, and a person who was always looking to make you laugh, Steve's joy always came from making someone else happy. His service to others was well known and those who knew him best will always equate him with laughter and happiness. It was where he found his own value. He loved people so much. And he will always be remembered for the impact he had on others. His death cannot keep that truth from its rightful place. He was the truest friend to so many.
He is survived by his mother, Lucia, brother, Frank, twin brother John, sister-in-law Beth (Gano) Cattunar, nephew and niece Jack and Ava Cattunar, and cousins and relatives too numerous to mention from Italy. He is preceded in death by his father, Vittorio Cattunar.
Steve's impact on people will never be duplicated but the spirit of who he was lives on in how we try to imitate the faith and service he lived. Services to share stories, experiences and to honor his life will be at SCHOEDINGERS in Upper Arlington on Zollinger Road from 4-7 on Friday, January 16, 2014, with a short memorial service to follow for those who wish to attend. All are welcome but space is limited. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name through the Arlington Bank, Tremont Center, Columbus, Ohio, 43221.
