Steven L. Lipps

Prior to coming to Gahanna during his middle school years and graduating from Gahanna Lincoln in 1979, Steve spent some time living in Lansing, Michigan. It was when Steve worked at Limited Distribution Center from 1984 until 2007, that he met his wife-to-be, Pam McKahan. They were married in 1986 and settled a year later in Gahanna to buy their first home and raise their family.

It is here that Steve began his life of mentoring young people with his motivational and humorous approach, specifically as a coach with GSA, MSSA, and GNA youth recreational soccer programs.

A great friend and mentor to many, he had a passion to help and advise the people in his life. He may be remembered, by those who saw him coach, cut the grass, or any number of other activities, as the one who was barefoot, and likely the only one.

He will be missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Pam, and their children Jessica (Chris) McGinley, Sean Lipps, and Brandon Lipps; siblings Kathleen Fields, Robert (Jamie) Lipps, and Chris Lipps; nieces and nephews Chase Fields, Adelle Tetreault, Brittney Lipps, Jacob Lipps, Kendra Rogers, Mike Lipps, Luis Lipps, Megan Carver, Kirsten Carver, and Lauren McKahan; parents-in-law David and Saundra McKahan; siblings-in-law Jeff (Claire Watts-McKahan) McKahan, and Kathy (Brian) Carver, as well as additional family and friends.

Friends may call at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, Friday, March 1, 2019 from 4-7PM and again Saturday from 12-1:30PM. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:30PM Saturday.
