

Sue Ann Goss passed away peacefully in Columbus, Ohio on November 1, 2025, two days short of her 94th birthday. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 70 years, Norval. Sue is survived by her daughter, Dianne Goss, son Dean Goss (Shelly), grandsons Alex Paynter (Lauren Braam), Andy Paynter, Ben Goss (Dori), and Zack Goss (Aja Lowrey), two great grandchildren, Roger Dean Goss and Elery Braam Paynter, along with nieces and nephews.
Sue was born November 3, 1931 at Columbus White Cross Hospital to Cecil and Helen Palmer. A graduate of North High School and The Ohio State University, Sue was active in sports, art and the Alpha Phi sorority. During this time she also rode competitively in horse shows.
After graduation, she worked at the Columbus Dispatch and at the Columbus Humane Society where as "Miss Everkind", she worked in the community as an Animal Advocate and Educator. Sue met the love of her life, Norval on a blind date and became engaged 6 months later, they married on November 26, 1955.
Sue was a very talented artist. Her annual watercolor Christmas cards were cherished by friends and family for many years. Her paintings and her hand painted Easter eggs were exhibited at The Ohio State Fair, Upper Arlington Public Libraries and First Community Village.
Sue and Norval enjoyed tennis, golf, travel, beach walks and shell collecting and especially watching The Ohio State Buckeyes football team play, (and win) on Saturdays.
