Sylva was a true servant of the Lord Jesus. She showed the love of Jesus to everyone and was always willing to help wherever needed in the chruch. She helped with potlucks, VBS and Youth campouts and so many other things with in the church. We were blessed to know her and to be able to share the time we did.
We aways enjoyed her singing. I would find my self sing them throught out the week. She would not think twice about giving a testimony for the Lord Jesus.
She loved her family and her church famliy sure loved her! We miss her greatly but know that one day we will see her in heaven.
We will lift you all up in prayer as she would want that.

I remember the songs Sylva would sing at Columbia Center Church and one in particular about wearing the robe and crown.  Well. she is wearing that robe and crown now. Sylva would stand and testify for Jesus, telling of her witnessing to friends and family about Jesus and encouraging them to come to church, and be ready for Jesus' return. We love Sylva and we know, without wavering, we will meet again over in the Glory Land! Prayers for the family for their loss and heavens gain. Phillip & Penny Miller

Oh my sweet Sylva . I am going to miss you greatly. You were the Neighbor who always let me know when I had a package delivered. I remember the days when we played rummy cab and you always beat me. You were a master at that game. Also I remember the days that we helped out with the kids at the dome. There were a lot of good memories there. I remember the days when we went to church together to our movie night and fun nights at the  church. You definitely were a child of the Lord and I look forward to meeting you again at the gates of heaven someday. You have been a great friend and I will always cherish that. See you at the gate someday. Love you Sylva!

Antymommy was always there for my Lilly. We are so lost without you.

Wow my mind is still trying to except that you are gone your going to be missed by everyone. So my memory of Sylva will be she would always come up and hug you kiss  me and ask me how my kids are doing and then ask about all my grand babies and that’s the thing with Sylva she never had any babies of her own so everyone’s babies was also her babies too the love that she had for everyone was priceless. She had the biggest heart and was the sweetest person anyone would ever meet. If you met her you had a friend for life. I love you aunt Sylva you can rest easy now.

Dear Aunt Sylva, My Bible Study Partner. We have been close since the beginning of time. You were the sister I never had. Mom’s baby sister. I have loved you since forever. We have a lot of beautiful memories, from sharing boy crushes, our love of the Lord, our love for gospel music. Studying God’s Word. Childhood games. Board games, card games, like Rummy, Euchre, UNO, Dice games Kismet, Yahtzee,  Grandma was one to beat. No one could beat her. LOL All of our stay overs together. I loved staying the night with you. We laughed together, cried together, prayed together. Shared secrets. Everything sisters do. What I love the most, is your love for the Lord. You truly were a beacon of light and love. I will miss your contagious smile and laughter.  You were the greatest example of Jesus. You loved and cared for everyone.  Even though there is a tiny hole in my heart, the memories and love we have shared will gradually fill it in. You didn’t taste the sting of death. You tasted sweet victory as the Lord welcomed you Home and you entered His sweet embrace. Until we meet again. I love you!

Sylva was the sweetest, and most thoughtul person. She never failed to ask how all of us cousins in Mansfield, were doing. She always gave the best hugs. I know she loved Jesus with all her heart. Whenever you talked to her HIS name was always mentioned. She loved her family soooo much. It's so hard when someone we love goes so suddenly but for Sylva I look at it as, she took her final breath on earth and the next one she was breathing Celestial air! Sylva is now whole, and well and strong. She met Jesus face to face and is rejoicing with all her loved ones gone before. Oh Sylva, we will miss you dear one, but we will see you on the other side. You were so loved.

So sorry to hear of Sylva’s passing but I know she’s in Heaven in her new painless body now.  What I would say to Sylva is “I miss you Huggy Bear, and I was looking forward to another birthday lunch with you.  Save me a place in Heaven near you.  Love you forever!!”  Your friend in Christ, Elda
