Teresa Kennedy

Teresa Jane Kennedy (Kuhnash) of Westerville, Ohio, devoted mother and beloved friend, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the age of 63. She was born to Andrew and Marie Kuhnash of Cambridge, Ohio on October 15, 1953. She graduated from Guernsey Catholic Central High School in 1971 and studied computer science at Muskingum Tech.

The youngest of 5 children, Teresa is preceded in death by siblings Art Kuhnash, Nancy Bast, and Liz Long. She is survived by her brother, Steve Kuhnash of Dublin, Ohio; her only child, Brandon Kennedy of Washington, D.C.; many treasured nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of friends.

Teresa took great pride in her role as homemaker and mother. She loved to cook, and nothing made her happier than feeding a house full of neighborhood kids and friends. In 1992 she published a cookbook of favorite family recipes.

A spiritual seeker and avid reader, Teresa managed the Pearls of Wisdom bookstore and, later, the Gentle Wind metaphysical store. With her gifts of empathy and compassion she touched the lives of countless people.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 11 at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Columbus, Ohio, 43230. Visitation begins at 1:00 followed by a memorial service at 2:00. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society or the American Kidney Fund.
