Terrance Ray Baughman

Terrance R. Baughman passed away on January 17, 2022 at the age of 75 surrounded by family. Terry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Susan, sons Matthew (Alysha Taxter), and Michael (Ally Stahl), grandchildren Theo, Lila, Oliver, family, and friends.

Terry graduated from OSU in '68 and worked at Columbia Gas (NiSource) in information technology, retiring in 2005 after 37 years. In retirement, he found a second career volunteering over 5000 hours with Habitat for Humanity and co-leading builds of houses. He and Sue traveled extensively in their Airstream trailer throughout retirement, spending winters in Tucson, AZ, traveling to Alaska and throughout the US and Canada. Pancreatic cancer and a global pandemic could not keep his travel spirit down and Terry rafted the Grand Canyon for 7 days in September of 2021 with his wife and children.

Terry was an exceptionally kind, hardworking, and selfless teacher who shared his joy of learning and happiness with everyone he met along the way. He will be greatly missed, but will live on in the memories of all those who knew him. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Dublin. Terry will be cremated and his ashes scattered in a private ceremony with immediate family at a later time. He is preceded in death by his parents Rosemary and William Earl Baughman and his brother Lowell Baughman.
