Terry Burnside

Terry received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Southern California and continued to be an avid Trojans fan throughout his life. In 2001 he was awarded certification in the Advanced Executive Program from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management of Northwestern University. He built a successful career in retail that culminated with him as President of Medicine Shoppe International and Senior Vice President at Cardinal Health. He credited his business ethic and inspiration to early work experiences at his father's grocery store.

Terry married his love, Leslie Burnside on December 10, 2011. The two shared a love of travel, music, boating, camping, and their cats: Dude, Nibbles and Lucy. Their most fond memories were made traveling the country in their motorhome.

In addition to his parents, Terry is predeceased by his brothers Bill Palmer, Ron Burnside and sister Dorothy (Dottie) Carroll.

Surviving in addition to his wife Leslie are his children, Shelley Layne and Dan Burnside, his stepchildren, Jason Grant and Lisa Miller, his grandchildren, and his brother Tom and wife Jane.

A service of remembrance will be held at Harlem Road Church, 5520 Harlem Road, Galena, Ohio 43021, on Monday, June 21 at 11 a.m., followed by a graveside committal at David's Cemetery, 4600 Mad River Rd, Dayton OH, at 1:30 p.m. Those who wish to send flowers can do so to 5520 Harlem Road Church or make a donation to your local humane society in Terry's name.
