Thomas Harding Egland

Thomas Harding Egland, 75, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019. He was born March 6, 1944 in Des Moines, IA to the late Victor and Erna (Marske) Egland. He was retired from Goodale Transmission where he worked for over 25 years as a Diesel Mechanic. He enjoyed his retirement in Florida and acquired many close friendships. Tom loved being with his family: camping, fishing, boating, and spending time with his friends. Devoted Ohio State Buckeye fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Hausmann; daughter, Coleen Egland; brother, Edward Egland; sister, Janelle Moore; and nephew, Doug Helsel. Tom is survived by his brother, Alvin Egland; beloved daughters, Carrie Egland; Christine (Bill) Beachler; and Cheryl Egland; grandchildren, Tom, Brandy (David), Will, Erica, Nick (Megan), Brian (Julia Ann), and Laura (Joey); 6 great-grandchildren; close friend, Jan Yates; and many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held 6-10 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the West Jefferson V.F.W. Post 7005, 56 N Walnut St., West Jefferson, Ohio 43162. Private inurnment will be held, at a later date, at Green Lawn Cemetery. Tom's family would like to thank Brandy Egland for the excellent care that she provided her grandfather.
