

Thurman Muncy, age 78 of Pataskala, passed away, Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Thurman was born January, 14, 1931 in Kentucky to the late Sherman and Hazel Muncy, and spent his early years in Portsmouth, Ohio. He later moved to the Columbus area where he began working for Norfolk and Western Railroad where he later retired. Thurman enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating, raising horses, and fishing, but most of all, he loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Pearl “Cookie” Vanderpool and Imogene Miller. He is survived by his loving wife, June; daughters, Carol Ann Moling and Judy (Tim) Moore; sons, David (Shannan) and Stephen (Pat); 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Frances Swords; and brothers, James (Marjorie) and Herman (Lucianne); and many other extended family members and dear friends. Memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, November 9, 2009 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until time of service.
