Tonya L. Peck Gardner

Tonya L. Peck Gardner, age 55 of Columbus, passed away, Friday, September 27, 2013. Tonya was born in Columbus and grew up in Gahanna, daughter of Sandra Barnes and the late Ronald Peck. Tonya graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School, Class of 1977. She was a U.S. Army Veteran, member of the Gahanna Little League Football Association and a member of the Royal Manor Family Club, a club in which she loved deeply. Tonya was a woman who walked to the beat of her own drum. Her favorite saying was "fasten your seatbelts, its going to be a bumpy ride." She was caring, generous and funny. She enjoyed cooking and talking about food as well as spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her mother, Sandra (Dwayne) Barnes; children, Amber Williams and Joshua (Jodie) Maynard; grandchildren, Bailey and Josh Jr; twin sister, Sonya (Eli) Matalon; brother, Ronald Peck; beloved companion, poodle Lilly; longtime childhood friends, Teri Munn and Lisa Larkin Mills; Royal Manor mother, Barb Munn; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 7 P.M. Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until time of service.
