

Trenton Manning, Jr. age 51, of Columbus, died unexpectantly at his home on Sunday, November 10, 2019. Trenton was born in Portsmouth, Virginia. His family moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he graduated from Painesville Riverside High School. Trenton attended The Ohio State University and has called the Columbus area home ever since.
Trenton loved the Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns and enjoyed cheering for them at home and away. Trenton was a human resource advocate. He loved working on behalf of others. Trenton began his career at COTA and then used his talents at Abbott Laboratory and The Limited Brands. At the time of his death, Trenton was a proud member of the Nationwide Insurance Family. Trenton was recently recognized as The Outstanding Diversity Champion by Columbus Business First. He served on numerous boards throughout the community, including The OSU Friends of the Libraries and The Make-A-Wish Foundation. He volunteered at the Mid-Ohio Food Bank and Expanding Visions. He loved advocating for and helping others, but his happiest moments were spent with his wife and his children.
Trenton is preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Manning. His absence leaves a loving void for his wife, Tina Thomas-Manning, his sons Parker and Pierce, his father, Trenton (Carol) Manning, Sr., sisters, Brenda Manning, Trentina Manning, and Juana (Vance) Williams, mother-in-law Linda (Cornell) Hale, sisters-in-law Sheila (Adam) Thomas-Jackson and Shelly Thomas, nephews Anthony White, De'Vante Williams, and Trevon Davis, his nieces, Ma'Kahla King and Clarke Jackson, his special cousins, Steve, Rick, Ron, Marty and Gary Manning, his lifelong friends, Ronald (Claudia) Smith, Trevor (Rowanda) Williams, Anthony (Erin) Keels, Greg (Tausha) Carter, Keith (Melissa) Jackson, Andrew (Katy) Bainbridge, and Louis (Stacy) Sauter, and many close family and friends.
A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at The Ohio State University Faculty Club, 181 Oval Drive South, Columbus, Ohio 43210, beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Expanding Visions Foundation or A Kid Again Organization. The family requests that you continue Trenton's legacy of mentorship by donating your time to a local youth.
**To access The Club from 315, take the Lane Ave. exit. Go east towards the main campus and turn right (south) at High Street.
The nearest public parking is the Ohio Union Garage Parking Garage "C". The "C" garage is located south of the Wexner Center on the west side of High Street and is accessible from both High Street and College Road. If the parking garage is used, exit the garage on College Road and walk west along the south side of the Oval.
There is limited surface parking around The Club. From High Street turn right (west) at 12th Avenue. Turn right at College Road. Turn left at Hagerty Drive and proceed to the end. Turn right and The Club will be on your left. You may park in front of the Club or Orton Hall with the proper OSU parking pass. See photos for a map to the club.
