Verna J. (Wilson) Carroll

Verna J. Carroll, age 92, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born on July 16, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles and Caleara (Crim) Wilson. Verna graduated from East High School. She worked for the State of Ohio for 20 years. As a youth, Verna attended Centenary United Methodist Church. Later in life, she was a member at Pentecostal Deliverance Church. Verna enjoyed bible reading.

Verna will be greatly missed by her daughter, Diane Carroll; son, Michael Jonathan (Tjendra) Carroll; grandson, Jonathan Michael Carroll; former son-in-law, Richard Halegua; nieces, Tina Ross, Donna Maxwell, Francine Johnson and Brenda Harshaw; nephew, Charles Wilson; and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, David Wilson and Norman Wilson and Donald Wilson; sister, Doris Stewart; and niece, Marlene Ludaway.

Visitation will be held from 10- 11 AM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM followed by a reception. Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Dr. Robert Keys regarding Christ Hospital Health and Aging, 4900 Babson Place Suite 600, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227, to help with dementia research.
