

Vernon Paul Martindill, age 90, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born in McArthur, Ohio on June 19, 1922 to the late Ernest and Sylvia (Mannring) Martindill. Vernon was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post #4044 and the VFW. In his working life Vernon was self employed working in carpet services and installation. He loved music, reading, and travel. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Frances Martindill; daughters, Sharon James and Victoria (James) Dickson; grandchildren, Joshua (Machell) Ryan, Paula (Kenneth) Ernsbarger, Jeremy Ryan, David (Michelle) Lowry, and Jason Ryan; great grandchildren, Tyler, Hannah, and Gabby; sister, Virginia L. Dumm; sister in-law, Phyllis (Jerry) Hart; and special friend, Sandra Dameron. Vernon was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 10:00AM.
