Vickie Elaine Porter, 69, of Columbus, died Monday, March 30, 2015. She was born July 2, 1945 in Columbus to Labartow and Mattie Lou (Dukes) Porter. She was a graduate of East High School and attended Michigan State. She was a unit manager at Nationwide Children's Hospital for over 20 years. Vickie enjoyed sewing, reading and was a scary movie addict. She was strong willed and a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She will be missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Samuel James Porter Jr., daughter Kimberly K. Young and sisters Lily Porter, Betty Redman and Peggy Hendricks. Vickie is survived by children Tysen (Rose) Porter, Toma Porter, Makeya Porter and Arsenio Porter, grandchildren Mark, Anecia, Mercedes, Tiara, Malyia and Layla, great grandchildren Alexis, Dior and Alonnie, sisters Janice Porter and Phyllis Holliman, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
