

Victor Lee Gillam, age 82, of Westerville, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on August 21, 2016. Vic was born in Sharon, WV on September 24, 1933. Vic proudly held positions in the United Sates Air Force, West Virginia Coal Mines, Columbus Coated Fabrics, W.C. Brunk Transportation and finally American Interstate Touring, before enjoying retired life for the last 5 years. His favorites included The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and above all else, his family. He enjoyed many days simply watching his grandchildren play, while sitting hand in hand with Betty. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 62 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Gillam, as well as his 5 children, Vicki (Marty) Moon, Valleria Havens, Venita Crouch, Vincent (Lori) Gillam, Van (Pamela) Gillam; 3 grandchildren, Breanne Braskett, Cassaundra and Mitchell Gillam; 2 great-grandchildren, Marissa and Alaina Braskett; 1 sister, Corina (Danny) Kiser, 1 brother, Timothy (Kacie) Gillam; a number of nieces and nephews; plus 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren acquired by marriage; with an enumerable amount of close friends. Family will receive friends in celebration of Vic’s life, Thursday, August 25, 2016, 4-7 p.m. where everyone attending is encouraged to wear their favorite OSU or any other sports team apparel, at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Columbus OH, where funeral services will be also be held Friday, August 26, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery, 6330 Hempstead Rd. Westerville OH.
