He attended Franklin University and The Ohio State University. Combined with his career, he spent twelve years coaching track and basketball at St. Matthias and one year at St. Francis DeSales High School. He was also a Cub Scout leader and a Cub master. He loved The Ohio State Buckeyes and his hobbies included fishing, wood working, golfing, family poker nights and especially painting. We all share in the gift of his art. Family was always his top priority and even while working multiple jobs he stayed involved with his children and grandchildren. His family will always cherish the memories of our vacations, his instant iced tea, his imitation of Smokey Bear and the GPO. He will be dearly missed. A special thanks to Zusman Hospice for their care the past few months. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Tuition Assistance Fund, St Matthias School 1582 Ferris Rd, Columbus, OH 43224.
