Vina Mae Carmichael was born at home on a farm in Arno, Virginia on August 17, 1935. She and her brother, Chester, were the only children of her parents, John and Lisette Carmichael (nee Blevins). Sadly, Vina Mae was taken suddenly in a car accident on the night of June 23, 2010. She leaves behind her three children, Ralph Brian, Marisa Gail, and Vanessa; her eight grandchildren, Laura, Tecora, Ryan, Phillip, Meghan, Tariq, Trianna, and Britney; her four great grandchildren, Juan, Jaunelle, Briawna, and Briawn; and her son in-law, Christopher Askew. Family and friends may call Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 10:00AM until time of funeral service at 11:00AM at the Church of Christ, 1889 Genesee Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43211.
