Virginia Mae Kellett

Virginia Mae Kellett, age 94, a life long resident of New Albany, died Saturday June 15, 2019 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's surrounded by her family. Virginia is lifelong member of Franklin United Brethern Church, member of the church choir and was church organist for over 40 years. A graduate of New Albany High School, she attended Otterbein University, gave piano lessons for over 50 years, was a band parent, member of the PTO, room mother and former owner of the Red and White Grocery Store in New Albany. She is preceded in death by her husband William Kellett, Jr.sister Mary Ellen Ulry and grandson Anthony David Kellett. Virginia is survived by her son David (Virginia) Kellett of Sunbury, daughter Diana Blessing of Dublin, grandchildren: Alecia (Ian) Lewkowich, Brian (Sarah) Kellett, Dawn Blessing, Douglas (Renee) Blessing, Jason (Kim) Wortkoetter, Julie (Andy) Langhals, great grandchildren: Audrey and Alex Blessing, Dylan Bloemendaal, Grace and Norah Kellett, Anthony and William Lewkowich, Wyatt Wortkoetter, Catherine and Tucker Langhals. The family will receive friends 5-8pm Thursday at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 East Johnstown Road (at Beecher Rd.) where the Funeral Service will be held at 10am Friday June 21, 2019 with Rev. Maurice Martindale officiating. Interment Maplewood Cemetery.
