

Virginia (Ginny, Mom, Grandma) Scherer was born in Alexandria, Ohio and grew up in the University District of Columbus. Her Dad (Lee) worked on the railroad and her Mom (Anne) was a homemaker and worked in banking. Ginny had a younger brother Ned Davidson and a younger sister Linda Davidson. She married Roy (aka Gene) Krespach and had two sons Scott and Kelly. After many years, Roy and Ginny divorced and a few years later she married Clark Scherer. They lived in Columbus for a while, and eventually bought a house in Corning, Ohio where they lived until Clark passed. Ginny moved to Lancaster where she met her good friend Roxann where they had many good times. In early 2020, when she needed additional help, she moved to McNaughten Pointe in Columbus until she passed.
Ginny worked many fields over the years that she enjoyed. She worked for Westerville Methodist Church, WOSU TV, Rickenbacker Airport, Western Electric, the Ohio House of Representatives, Maize Elementary School, Pontifical College Josephinum and Mount Carmel Hospital System. She earned her license to sell real estate and insurance.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ned and her grandson Brian Krespach.
Ginny is survived by her sons, Scott (Mary) and Kelly (Bob). Her grandchildren, Stephanie (Ryan), Katie (Isaac) and great grandchildren, Evan, Seth, Zakary, and Ezra.
Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Friday, April 12th at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Graveside service will be held 10:30 am Saturday, April 13th at Trenton Cemetery in Sunbury, Ohio.
