Wallace Frederick Frey

Wallace Frederick "Fred" Frey, age 78, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Fred was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on August 1, 1937 to the late Wallace Herman and Inez Frey. He was a graduate of Bucyrus High School and earned his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. He retired from Columbus Products Company after many years of dedicated service. Following his retirement he worked at Solera Imports for 19 years. Fred was a member of Cypress Wesleyan Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Demers. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joan Frey; children, Kip (Meredith) Frey, Dan (Annie) Frey, Shelley (Jerry) Drobnick, and Sue (Rick) Johnson; grandchildren, Andrew and Sam Frey, Oliver, Alex, Chris, and Noah Frey, Kasie (Jeremey) Scally, Michael and Kellie Drobnick, and Jake and Nicole Johnson; brother in-law, John Ackerman; and nephews, Chuck and Chris Parcher. Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 3:00PM-5:00PM with funeral service at 5:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 West Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204. Pastor Dale George officiating. Fred will be laid to rest privately at Alton Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
