Wanda Lynn Hopkins

Wanda Lynn Hopkins, 85, of New Albany, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Parkside Village Senior Living Community in Westerville, Ohio. Born on February 27, 1933, Lynn attended and faithfully served the Lord at Westerville Bible Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and participated in my service-oriented ministries. Lynn and her husband, Joe Hopkins, invested many hours leading church services at local nursing homes. They also worked together taking elderly acquaintances to doctor appointments, as well as visiting them in their homes and buying groceries for them. Lynn served her Lord and Savior by helping others. Lynn also enjoyed working in the yard, taking long daily walks, reading good books, and watching OSU football and basketball games. In addition to her parents, Lawrence and Veryl Phalen, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Hopkins. She is survived by her two sons, Andrew Hopkins and Timothy Hopkins (Lisa), and three grandchildren: Joelle, Garrett, and Emma Hopkins. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 1-3PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, where a funeral service will be held Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11:30AM with Pastor Dan Scarberry officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Johnstown.
